Much love to all those who participated in the Canggu Beach Cleanup on March 20th. IndoSole is previleged to have Canggu as our home base in Bali since the locals are always glowing with stoke. If you have ever surfed Canggu, you know how well the left and the right crank; however the heavy rains drain garbage through the rivermouth and into the ocean. Let us all remember that beaches do need an extra hand from time to time. Shout out to IndoSole's sole surfers Jun and Karbit...both in the ChangguSurfCommunity photo! To all those wave sliders in the Bay Area: Our good mates at Mollusk Surf Shop are showcasing a phenomenal gallery of classic Ocean Beach prints. It's definitely worth your time if you appreciate San Francisco's surf scene in the 60s and early 70s. Mollusk Surf Shop is located on Irving / 46th Ave. The picture below is a Seal Rock throw back.
Our good friends over at Live Agape have spearheaded a marketing campaign called "Sole Surfers" which focuses on young people who have positive influence in their communities. The first piece goes out to Gede "JUN" Juniartha who is a young Bali surfer with a dream. Jun's goal is to influence his friends to get an education, preserve local beaches, and to also support IndoSole's efforts of re-purposing trash in Bali. If you know of a "Sole Surfer" in your community...please introduce him/her to us...email@example.com Sole Surfer - JUN from IndoSole on Vimeo.
The anticipation is almost over. BALI: Art, Ritual, Performance is premiering tomorrow night at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. The opening night is going to include Balinese performances and music, work shop stations and of course the 131 art collections from the island. From what we have been hearing on streets, it's going to be a packed house. The weather is scheduled to be frigid in SF (maybe snow) so why not grab a beer and teleport to Bali. http://sf.funcheap.com/matcha-temple-dances-bali-exhibit-sneak-preview-asian-art-museum/
IndoSole is on TV! Our marketing guru - Jeremy Urone was interviewed at GreenFest-SF back in November and the piece aired on FOX bay area news this past weekend. Thanks to ECO TV and GreenFest for spreading the Aloha. Enjoy *Look for the IndoSole story to begin at 3:05*
